Ever since I succeeded my dear friend and colleague Elijah Cummings as Chair of the House Oversight Committee, I’ve fought for the American people.
Whether it be protecting our youngest citizens from defective and dangerous infant sleep products or making sure chronically ill Americans aren’t ripped off by greedy drug companies, I’m committed to doing the right thing.
And now is no exception: with memories still fresh in our minds, I’m pushing forward with my investigation into what happened on January 6th. Though the details are painful and bring me back to the darkest hours of these hallowed halls, it’s my duty. And I’ll never abandon my duty.
This is what you deserve from your leaders. Nothing less. And I want to keep serving you — but my team tells me that we’re vulnerable. We need to keep our campaign coffers in good shape so that we can keep fighting these fights.
