Mark Kelly and I are two of the most vulnerable incumbent senators up for re-election next year, and we need your help: While we’ve spent our time in office providing pandemic relief to struggling families, fighting for voting rights and delivering on our priorities, National Republicans are doing everything they can to stop us.

Here's why: Our chances of defending our razor-thin majority hinge on keeping these seats in Georgia and Arizona. These races will decide Senate control – but while GOP megadonors and dark money groups have millions to spend to try and buy these seats, we're running people-powered campaigns that rely on grassroots support. And unfortunately, with time running out before our crucial midnight fundraising deadline, we're falling incredibly short of our goal.

As a kid who grew up in public housing, I know what it's like to be counted out before you even get started. But through hard work and the support of my family and community, I was able to graduate from college and went on to become the senior pastor at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s church. Now, I'm proudly serving as the first Black senator in Georgia's history.

But here's the deal: With the Senate split 50-50, Republicans need to flip only one seat to retake control – and we know that they're coming after me and Mark as their top targets.

That's why we have to fight back now – and it's why falling short of important goals like this isn't an option. Because if we fail in Georgia and Arizona, Mitch McConnell will be back calling the shots and obstructing our agenda at every turn.
