Hi there - Happy Father's Day!
It's been a tough year for all of us, but even through the challenges we've faced, the thing that has kept me going is watching my two boys grow up.
I was just scrolling through my photos this morning and wanted to share a few favorite memories.
Finally building the Millenium Falcon LEGO set my wife let me put on our wedding registry - but only if I promised to build it with our kids someday!
Making a fresh batch of our famous Kim family bagels.
Comparing their candy hauls from socially-distanced Halloween.
Bringing them to the office for the first time.
Every time I come back from D.C. to New Jersey, giving them a big hug is always the first thing I do. But even when I'm away from home at the Capitol, they're with me. The bills I vote on, the statements I make, the things I fight for, I do because I want them to grow up in a world where they can be themselves -- filled with joy and promise.
You don't have to be in Congress to know that feeling. It's something that every parent understands. I hope in these photos you can see why I do what I do. They give me hope and purpose -- it's a hope and purpose that is only possible because I have your support.
From my family to yours, thank you. And however your family celebrates today, I hope you'll have a great Father's Day, too!
