In March, I helped pass President Biden’s American Rescue Plan to speed up our response to the COVID-19 pandemic and get much-needed help to Eastern Connecticut hard-hit families, small businesses and communities.
It is important to remember that unlike the CARES act, not a single republican House or Senate voted for the American rescue plan. As President Biden pointed out, these same obstructionists are today shamelessly claiming credit for the help flowing into their districts and states. Now, the candidates against me are running on the same platform of denial and obstruction that we are seeing from republicans in Congress. Their goal is to block President Biden’s agenda and I won’t let them.
Will you help me fight back?
There’s much more work ahead – most notably the American Jobs Plan that focuses on growing our economy through investment in Green Energy, solidifying our infrastructure, all while creating jobs and economic growth.
Whether in the Connecticut state legislature or Congress, elected republicans are doing all they can to stop work on the priorities that the American people voted for in November. We can’t let them do it - and we can’t let them gain a foothold in Connecticut. We know what it takes to win, but I need your help today to make sure we have the resources needed to be ready.
