Virginia Republicans are already attacking Dem AG Mark Herring just days after he was declared the nominee. Learn how you can help respond:
Friend,
I know it’s a Saturday night, but I have an update on Virginia’s AG race that I knew a supporter like you would want to hear.
Since Dem AG Mark Herring won the Democratic nomination, his radical Republican opponent has spent every day attacking him – whether through tweets, during interviews, or on the debate stage.
Friend, this just proves what we know: Republicans will say and spend anything to beat AG Herring and flip this critical seat red.
The reason why radical Republican Jason Miyares is attacking AG Herring is simple: he knows he can’t win this race on his own record or his radical Republican vision.
Here are just a few votes Miyares made as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates:
Voted against Medicaid expansion that would have left 500,000 Virginians without health care.
Voted against commonsense gun violence prevention proposals, like universal background checks, a red flag law, and the one handgun gun per month rule.
Voted against a litany of criminal justice reform proposals including preventing “no-knock search warrants,” minimum training standards for law enforcement officers, and the requirement for officers to intervene if they see another officer engaging in excessive force.
