Next week, the U.S. Senate will vote on S. 1 (H.R. 1), legislation which calls for a federal takeover of state elections, restricts free speech, and severely limits voter ID.
In a one-party town, this bill is all about Democrats maintaining their power. It’s also about providing welfare — taxpayer subsidized campaign donations from YOU — to politicians.
As an Attorney General who strongly supports the First Amendment, I will sue over this horrific legislation if it becomes law.
But we still have another chance to block this legislation from advancing and avoid having to go to Court.
Over the next few days, I will be speaking out against this bill and rallying voters in West Virginia — home to Democrat U.S. Senator Joe Manchin. His vote may be crucial to whether this awful bill stays alive.
