Sen. Joe Manchin may weaken the filibuster, opening lane for Democratic agenda
In a bombshell new report from The Intercept, West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin said he's open to lowering the filibuster threshold from 60 to 55 votes.
What does this mean? It means the Democrats are one step closer to passing their agenda. If the filibuster falls, the left will immediately seize the moment to pass sweeping measures that totally change our country:
- Gun bans
- Automatic voter registration
- New Democrat-controlled states
- Abortion on demand
- Medicare-for-all
- An expanded nanny state
- Massive bureaucratic overreach.
All this and more is on the table, and the lane is opening for the Democrats to make their wish list a reality.
Wouldn't it be nice if the American people didn't have to rely on a single senator to protect their freedoms?
The root of the problem isn't that Washington enacts bad policy -- it's that they have the power to enact that policy.
