** Sen. Joe Manchin may weaken the filibuster, opening lane for Democratic agenda

In a bombshell new report ([link removed]) from The Intercept, West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin said he's open to lowering the filibuster threshold from 60 to 55 votes.
What does this mean? It means the Democrats are one step closer to passing their agenda. If the filibuster falls, the left will immediately seize the moment to pass sweeping measures that totally change our country:
* Gun bans
* Automatic voter registration
* New Democrat-controlled states
* Abortion on demand
* Medicare-for-all
* An expanded nanny state
* Massive bureaucratic overreach.
All this and more is on the table, and the lane is opening for the Democrats to make their wish list a reality.
Wouldn't it be nice if the American people didn't have to rely on a single senator to protect their freedoms?
The root of the problem isn't that Washington enacts bad policy -- it's that they have the power to enact that policy.
If we want to end the threat of big-government tyranny, we can't rely on politicians like Manchin to hold strong. We must shrink the power, scope, and jurisdiction of the federal government as a whole, and we can do it with a Convention of States.
A Convention of States can propose constitutional amendments that answer each and every Democratic threat.
Amendments can...
* Shore up Second Amendment protections
* Prohibit the federal government from meddling in elections
* Restrict the amount of money they can spend on healthcare and environmental policy
* Eliminate many federal agencies.
With these amendments in place, the American people won't have to worry about what the federal government is doing because Washington won't have enough power to change our nation.
We're working in states around the country to make a Convention of States a reality, but we need your help! The "elites" in Washington will stop at nothing to squash the Convention of States movement, which is why we count on the support of everyday patriots like you.
