Today is Juneteenth, a day commemorating Black freedom, and we're joining Outdoor Afro's reflection on what it means to be free in America. For many of us, nature is often a place where we feel free — and it's important to us to pay it forward. It's been amazing to see everyone outdoors this Juneteenth and participating in Outdoor Afro's call to spend 2.5 hours in nature today to reflect on freedom in America. As Outdoor Afro Founder and CEO Rue Mapp said, "So many of us have found in this experience of 'sheltering in place' that nature never closes, that it is always at the ready, and that it is ready to heal and to teach."
