Friend,
Today is Juneteenth, a day to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. As we remember this historic moment, we must also grapple with the inequity and racism that persists in our country to this very day.
This past year has seen the United States and especially White Americans have frank conversations about racism in an unprecedented and much-needed way, as the number of unarmed Black Americans who are killed because of the color of their skin grows every day.
As an elected official, and as a distraught citizen, I am committed to supporting our Black communities and finding solutions. If you, like me, want to take action to be a part of the solution, I encourage you to consider making a donation to the NAACP to support their fight for civil rights. ([link removed])
We cannot turn a blind eye to this systemic problem. So long as Black Americans must walk the streets in fear of those very officials who are supposed to protect them, we are far from being a perfect Union. I will not rest until we see liberation from the fear that permeates Black communities. I hope you will join me in this effort.
In solidarity,
Susan

Susan Wild represents Pennsylvania's 7th District in Congress. She believes we can grow overall economic prosperity while still caring for the vulnerable members of our community. And she knows, now more than ever, it's working-class families that deserve a break in this economy — not big city billionaires and wealthy corporations.
But she needs your support today -- her campaign runs on grassroots donations since she's not taking a dime of corporate PAC money. If you can, consider giving anything you can to her campaign today. >> ([link removed])
