Today Juneteenth is recognized as a federal holiday for the first time in history. We honor those who have fought and continue fighting for racial justice and freedom. As we celebrate, we must take time to reflect and then act to recognize the contributions Black Americans have made that have directly contributed to our country’s success and the continued struggle for equality.
