Friend, access to affordable healthcare should be a right for all Americans.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court yesterday dismissed the latest GOP attempt to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and strip millions of people of their health insurance. But we know that the attacks on the ACA won't cease anytime soon -- and we can't keep playing defense.

We need to expand access to affordable coverage even further. And we can do that by establishing a public option for families to buy into.

The public option will lower costs, save families money, and spur private insurers to treat customers fairly.

When the ACA was originally being crafted, we came close to having a public option. But special interests stopped us. Now, as the country still grapples with a public health crisis, it's more important than ever to push for comprehensive solutions to expand healthcare access and coverage -- so we need to renew the effort to pass a public option through Congress.
