Exciting news from the Only in America 
team: we have a
two-parter special celebrating Immigrant Heritage Month!  

We had so many great conversations for this series it's hard
to decide which to highlight. Farah Larrieux
 is a Haitian TV
personality, entrepreneur and community advocate and Edilsa Lopez
attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied
International Relations & Global Studies and Business
Administration. We also had a great conversation with Jessica
Astudillo, a medical student at SUNY Upstate Medical University
applying for Pediatric Residency. Also featured was Eric Kwak 
, a DACA recipient who started his work in
education with Teach for America.

We also had the incredible opportunity to chat with Emily Ekins
 at the Cato Institute to dig
deeper into her team's new in-depth study of over 2,500 adults
examining why Americans support or oppose a more open immigration
system.  

We took a deep dive into those findings
and analysis to explore why, despite overwhelming support for
immigration and immigrants, anxieties and fears around immigration to
the US persist - as they have for centuries - and how to combat these
negative narratives.
