John,
In 2017, the House of Representatives voted to take away protections for those with pre-existing conditions.
That was the day I decided to run for Congress.
Since then, there has been a concerted effort to destroy the Affordable Care Act. There have been numerous votes in the House of Representatives and challenges in court. Yesterday, I was relieved to hear that the ACA had survived its third Supreme Court challenge.

John, millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions, small business owners & families rely on ACA plans, and people under 26 rely on their parents for health insurance -- these are protections afforded by the ACA.
I remain committed to protecting our neighbors with pre-existing conditions, lowering costs, and stabilizing our healthcare system for Central Virginians. This issue is among the most important to me.
The threats against the ACA and a more affordable healthcare system are persistent. In 2022, I expect to have a challenging race. As we approach the end of our fundraising quarter, can I count on you to stand with me and my campaign and to help me fight for a stronger and more accessible healthcare system?
