I’m reaching out today to ask you to help my friend Lauren Underwood reach her critical end-of-quarter fundraising goal, but first I want to tell you why Lauren needs our support at this crucial moment.
First, the person she defeated fair and square in 2020 refused to concede and spent six months contesting the results of the election. In fact, we had to take a vote on the full floor of the House to settle it for good. Those six months should have been used to prepare for the fight ahead, not litigating the results from 2020.
Lauren’s district, IL-14, was one of the closest races in the entire country last year. And the NRCC knows the only way they can win the Majority is if they defeat Lauren. That’s why they named her as a top target for 2022.
Lauren tells me her campaign needs to raise $50,000 by June 30th to reach their end-of-quarter goal — can you chip in to help us reach it?

I have been so impressed with Lauren’s work in Congress. She’s been a tireless advocate for lowering health care costs. Her landmark legislation, the Health Care Affordability Act, was included as part of the American Rescue Plan, and I know she has big plans for the months ahead.
Let me tell you, Lauren’s future is bright. She is already a force to be reckoned with, and we desperately need her voice in Congress.
