Happy Juneteenth!

Hi John,

Today we’re celebrating freedom alongside our friends and partners across the state. We acknowledge we still have a long way to go when it comes to racial equity in our work and in our nation, but it’s important to celebrate this day of liberation.

We’re excited to see that our national government is finally recognizing it as a federal holiday [[link removed]]. It serves as both a reminder of the work yet to be done and as inspiration to continue our work for an equitable future for Wisconsin. We’re dedicated to building an inclusive conservation movement that welcomes, values, and partners with all people.

Read more about the history of Juneteenth here [[link removed]] and about how it's Milwaukee’s longest continuously running cultural festival [[link removed]].
