Lockdown easing delayed until 19 July

Earlier this week it was announced by Government that a four week “pause” has been put on lifting all Coronavirus restrictions.

It is expected that England will move to Step 4 on 19 July instead of the previous target date of Monday 21 June, though the data will be reviewed on 5 July in case the risks have reduced. The move to Step 4 will be confirmed one week in advance.

However, some changes to the existing Step 3 restrictions were made on Monday 21 June, specifically around weddings, wakes, care home visits and residential visits for children. For detailed information on what those changes mean, please visit the Government website here ([link removed]) .

The current guidelines for Greater Manchester are:
* Meet outside rather than inside where possible
* Keep 2 metres apart from people that you don’t live with (unless you have formed a support bubble ([link removed]) with them), this includes friends and family you don’t live with
* Minimise travel in and out of affected areas
* Get tested ([link removed]) twice a week for free and isolate if you are positive
* Continue to work from home if you can
* Get vaccinated ([link removed]) when you are offered it, and encourage others to do so as well

Euro 2020: England vs Scotland
If you’re watching the Euros tonight, just remember to observe hands, face, space, fresh air as much as you can when enjoying the footy. It's coming home!
