Happy Pride Month, John!

As we celebrate our LGBTQ+ community, we must also recognize the work that still needs to be done and recommit ourselves to fighting for a more equal future for all.

Here in Maine, we’re fortunate to have protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation, but unfortunately, these same protections do not always extend to Mainers outside of our state.

Jared believes that no one should be discriminated against because of who they are -- that’s why he cosponsored the Equality Act.

If enacted, the Equality Act would extend protections against discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in employment, education, access to credit, jury service, federal funding, housing and public accommodations, and more.
