John,

BREAKING NEWS: The Affordable Care Act lives on!

This is the third attempt by Republicans to overturn the landmark health care law. Their efforts to repeal the ACA have failed in the Supreme Court twice already, in 2012 and 2015.

Yesterday's 7-to-2 ruling by the Supreme Court dismissing the Republicans' case against the ACA is a major victory — particularly for the millions of Americans who rely on the ACA for health care coverage, including those with pre-existing conditions and young adults up to 26-years-old.

As Attorney General, I'm so proud that Oregon was one of the 21 states to defend the ACA and stand up against attacks from the Trump Administration and Republican AGs. I applaud the efforts of everyone who helped keep the ACA safe once again, including my fellow Democratic AGs and all of the advocates across the country who joined in the fight to ensure that affordable health care is a top priority.

Thank you for standing up for Americans, and of course, Oregonians' health care.
Ellen
