Last month, Operation Guardian of the Walls was launched when Hamas indiscriminately launched 4,200 missiles into Israeli residential communities. According to the UN Charter, every nation has the right to defend its civilian population. The Biden administration pledged $235 million dollars in aid to rebuild Gaza, most of which will be given directly to the United Nations Relief Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

Are our taxpayer dollars that will be delivered to UNRWA part of the problem or part of the solution to the ongoing crisis between Israel and the Palestinians?

Here to answer these questions and more is Asaf Romirowsky,Executive Director of Scholars for Peace in the Middle East.
About the speaker: Middle East historian Asaf Romirowsky is a Fellow at the Middle East Forum, a senior nonresident research fellow at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (BESA) and a Professor [Affiliate] at the University of Haifa.
