John, I look for any chance to build a better, brighter New Mexico. That’s why I was proud to sign cannabis legislation into law this year.
Cannabis legalization will open up so many opportunities for New Mexicans. This law will create jobs in our state, generate more revenue for state and local governments and finally end the failed war on drugs – which has disproportionately harmed communities of color.
Legalizing cannabis is a win-win for our state: It allows both communities and individuals to thrive. But I couldn’t have signed this bold, progressive law without careful deliberation and input from people like you. Before signing that bill into law, I convened a bipartisan working group on cannabis, researched legalization in other states and I directly asked supporters like YOU for advice, John.
Now, I’m coming to you for advice again, John. Democrats have suggested federally legalizing cannabis throughout the U.S. – and I want to know where you stand. Please, tell me what you think before 11:59 p.m. tonight:
Should the U.S. federally legalize cannabis?

I’m always looking to the future to expand our bold agenda – and I’m so grateful for your support. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to pass progressive laws like this one.
Thanks for helping New Mexico pave the way toward a better and brighter future.
Michelle Lujan Grisham
