Families have been devastated. Children fear being kidnapped or murdered. Pastors have been beheaded. Women are abducted and enslaved.
When ACLJ Senior Counsel for Global Affairs Mike Pompeo was Secretary of State, he placed Nigeria on an official persecution watchlist for the rampant violence against Christians. He credited the work of the ACLJ in assisting him in making that designation.
For almost a decade we've worked at the U.N. to defend Nigeria's persecuted Christians. Now Secretary Pompeo is working directly with us to defend them.
Recently I delivered an oral intervention to the U.N. demanding action. And we just filed our 18th submission urging swift protection for Nigeria's Christians. We also urged intervention for Leah Sharibu – the Christian teen who's been held hostage by Boko Haram for over 1,200 days and reportedly forced to bear two children.
And just hours ago, I registered at the U.N. to deliver another critical oral intervention in just days.
It's our sacred duty – our biblical mandate – to care for the persecuted Church. We will not stop until ALL Christians are safe to worship, pray, and simply live without fear.
Be the voice for these voiceless Christians. Take action with us.
