The people of North Carolina and the United States won! I was honored to be part of a coalition of Attorneys General who fought to defend the Affordable Care Act in federal courts from an attack by Republican Attorneys General and the Trump Administration. Today, the US Supreme Court affirmed for the third time that the Affordable Care Act is the law of the land.

I am proud to have protected the health coverage of hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians and health benefits for millions more. These protections would have been stripped had we not won. And I will not stop fighting until every North Carolinian can get the care they need.

The past 15 months have made undeniably clear that having access to affordable, quality health care is a matter of life and death. The ACA is a vital resource for so many of us.
