Hi,

Texas Democrats stood up for voting rights. Will you tell Senators to do the same?

As America observes Juneteenth this weekend, we celebrate the end of slavery -- and remember the work that remains to be done for racial justice. That includes voting rights.

Republicans in Texas tried to pass some of the most restrictive voter suppression laws in the country. Democrats bravely blocked the vote by walking out of the statehouse.1

Texas Democrats then pleaded with Congress to step in and help protect their right to vote. But when they met with the Senate Democratic caucus this week, Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema weren't even in the room.2

Senators like Joe Manchin cannot be allowed to singlehandedly block voting rights bills, especially when Republicans in the states are doing everything they can to restrict the right and ability to vote. It's time other Senators stood up and pledged to end the filibuster and pass voting rights legislation. Now.

Sign the petition: Tell Senators to end the filibuster and protect voting rights across America.

Republican legislators and governors have made themselves clear: they will do whatever it takes to win elections, even if that means destroying our elections. We need to fight back: it's time to pass the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.

Joe Manchin is putting deals with Republicans above racial justice and voting rights. And Senate Republicans have already made it clear they don't want to pass these bills anyway.

One way we can overcome this obstacle is to get other Senators to speak out loudly against the filibuster and for voting rights legislation. But they won't do that without hearing from constituents like yourself. Can you add your name now in this critical moment when the future of our democracy hangs in the balance?

Tell Senators: Abolish the filibuster and pass voting rights legislation!

Thanks for taking action,
