Democrat,
Last night our New Jersey Democratic State Committee voted for a new Executive Board led by my successor and friend, Chairman LeRoy Jones of Essex County. I have tremendous confidence in Chairman Jones and his team and I know that our party is in good hands, and I congratulate him on beginning what I’m sure will be a successful tenure as NJDSC Chairman. Leading our Democratic Party has been the privilege and honor of my career in public service and I would like to thank the DSC members and Democratic leaders around the state for their support over the years as we accomplished so many great things together.
I will not be going away and I look forward to continuing to serve as Chairman of the Passaic County Democrats and to keep contributing to the success of our party however I can. This is a critical year for our state and we need all hands on deck to help re-elect Governor Murphy and expand our majority in the State Senate and Assembly.
Finally, I want to say thank you to all the New Jersey Democrats who have helped our party succeed so much over the last eight years. Whether you donated to our party or our candidates, came to our events, attended one of our trainings, shared our content with your networks or simply voted for Democratic candidates, you have made a difference in the direction of New Jersey, and we could not do it without your support.
Thank you,
Chairman John Currie
P.S. -- I would like to wish you a happy Juneteenth as our state celebrates this incredibly meaningful holiday for the first time. Read more here [[link removed]] to learn about how New Jersey is marking the occasion and the history behind the day.
