Right now, a number of proposals to expand and improve Medicare are in
negotiations to be included in the American Families Plan — policies that
may impact you and your loved ones for the better.

One of these proposals is to finally allow Medicare to negotiate
prescription drug prices. This big shift would save the federal government
between $300 billion and $478 billion dollars a year, which could be
invested in two critical ways:

* Improving Medicare by including hearing, dental, and vision benefits,
and establishing an out-of-pocket cap for Medicare beneficiaries.
* Lowering the Medicare eligibility age from 65 to 60.

While we
continue to fight for Medicare for All, implementing these changes would
have an immediate life-changing impact for millions of people – and you
have a unique role in this fight.

Your member of Congress will be a determining factor in whether these
important improvements to Medicare make it into the bill. That’s why we’re
collecting stories from their constituents – that’s you – as the first
step in our plan to pressure these key
members. If your life or the life of a loved one
would be improved by Medicare expansion, we want to hear your story.

Medicare are included and passed in the upcoming package — and as their
constituent, we want to make sure they hear your story loud and clear
before they vote. Please share your story with us here and make sure your
voice is included in this vital conversation.

While these policies aren’t a replacement for Medicare for All, they would
bar pharmaceutical companies from price gouging patients’ medications and
profiting off their suffering. And on top of that, they would vitally
broaden who can receive care under Medicare, while also expanding the
kinds of essential care people can receive.

If you’re over 60 years old and unable to get health care or retire
because you’re ineligible for Medicare – we want to hear from you. Or if
you’re unable to get the dental or vision coverage you need, or you’ve
experienced prescription drug prices you simply can’t afford, we want to
make sure your story is heard by your representatives.

If any
of this sounds like you or someone you love, then please consider sharing
your story with us today. Every voice we add to this urgent conversation
helps to amplify our call for these life-changing policies to be included
in the American Families Plan.

[ [link removed] ]So please, will you share with us how Medicare expansion would impact
you or your family?

and we’re grateful to have yours in this
