Friend --
HUGE news: the Senate is going to vote on the landmark For The People Act next week!
We’re almost out of time to show there is massive support for voting rights -- but our records show you haven’t signed Chuck Schumer’s official For The People Act petition yet.
This vote will make a big impact on history and we still need to reach 100,000 signatures to make sure the Senate votes yes. Make sure your name is on the record before it happens.

Subject: 100,000 Signatures Needed: Pass the For The People Act
Friend --
In states across America, voting rights are under attack by racist, Republican bills that make it harder to vote, especially for vulnerable communities and people of color.
That’s why we need federal legislation to protect voters. The For The People Act is a landmark bill that will secure our elections and protect the right to vote -- and the Senate is going to vote on it in just a few weeks!
But our majority is as slim as it gets, and we’re running out of time to put pressure on the rest of the Senate to do the right thing. So I’m asking you to stand up and demand voter protections.
I’m setting a goal of reaching 100,000 petition signatures demanding the Senate pass the For The People Act. I’m reaching out to you personally to ask if you’ll be one of the first 100 signers.
The reason we’ve set a 100,000 signature goal is because that’s a big enough number to get big attention, and demonstrate the vast scale of support for voting rights.
The Republican attacks on voters are systematic -- some of the bills are drafted word-for-word by dark money groups like the Heritage Foundation. These laws have nothing to do with democracy, and we cannot let them stand.
As one of the first 100 folks to demand that the Senate pass the For The People Act, you’ll inspire others to join you and make your position as a defender of democracy clear.
Will you be one of the first 100 people to sign my official petition calling on the Senate to pass the For The People Act?
Thanks for standing up for voting rights,
Chuck Schumer
