ICYMI: Let’s Honor the Hero Who Brought Che Guevara to Justice by Making October 9 “Felix Rodriguez Day”
Felix Rodriguez has dedicated his life to advancing freedom and democracy throughout the world. Not only was he largely responsible for Che’s capture, Felix also fought to liberate Cuba in the Bay of Pigs invasion and served our country honorably in Vietnam. Felix is a hero and living legend whose sacrifices we honor and respect. As such, the Miami Young Republicans are thrilled to join with Commissioner Steve Bovo in a call to make October 9 “Felix Rodriguez Day” in Miami-Dade County.
Armando Ibarra, President of the Miami Young Republicans, said:
“Felix Rodriguez is a giant among men, a living legend, and a hero in our community. By capturing Che Guevara, Mr. Rodriguez brought a cold-blooded murderer who terrorized so many families in our community and around the world to justice. We are forever grateful for his sacrifices and join Commissioner Bovo in urging Miami-Dade County to make October 9 Felix Rodriguez Day so that his heroism may never be forgotten.”
