Hey there,

Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar was the last lawmaker to speak on the House floor as security personnel evacuated the chamber on January 6. His reason for speaking? Asking the chamber to overturn Arizona's electoral votes -- the votes of his own constituents.

That morning, Gosar promised a crowd of rioters that he'd block the certification of Biden's win, using the same rhetoric he had a few months prior when he told right-wing militia members of the Oath Keepers that America is in a civil war, “we just haven't started shooting at each other yet.”

Gosar helped white supremacists break into the Capitol, but now he's telling millions of Americans on a Facebook conspiracy theory show that Democrats are the ones who “aided and abetted” the insurrectionists, and are now pushing a “narrative of January 6” to “really put a persecution on this country, to change its demographic.”

Gosar's racist claims wouldn't concern us if we didn't know that millions of people in this country are listening and acting on them. We all know what happened on January 6. It isn't a “narrative” or a “rally that got out of hand.” It was a violent attack on our nation's Capitol, and Republicans opened the door.

This white supremacist has been in Congress for over a decade -- and he's not alone, team. He has a growing number of right-wing extremists helping him shape legislation.

We're going to end Gosar's term this cycle, and the rest of his dangerous allies are going with him:
  • Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs
  • Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert
  • Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz
  • Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

Thank you, we have always been able to count on you.

Rep. Gosar is just one of the Republicans who helped right-wing extremist groups like the Proud Boys coordinate an attack on our Capitol -- he doesn't deserve to serve another term in office, and neither do his allies.

The GOP has failed to hold itself accountable, so we're going to do it ourselves.

Let's keep moving,
Progressive Majority
