The Supreme Court just dismissed a Republican-led challenge to gut the Affordable Care Act — one of Republicans’ repeated attempts to sabotage the health care law and take away protections for those living with pre-existing conditions.
Despite their efforts, the Affordable Care Act is here to stay. This is big news. So many across the Commonwealth and country are breathing a sigh of relief today — including those living with pre-existing conditions and those who never had access to care before the Affordable Care Act.
I’m proud of my efforts as a physician advocate to help pass the Affordable Care Act and expand health care to millions of Americans.
But now, we must continue to build on that work — that means bringing down the cost of care and prescription drugs, eliminating inequities in access to care and treatment, and ensuring that no one goes without access to quality, affordable health care. That’s exactly what I’ll do as a U.S. Senator.
