Dear Supporter,

Saturday is Juneteenth, a celebration commemorating the emancipation of enslaved Black people in this country, and a new federal holiday. As part of AMP's ongoing commitment to dismantle anti-Black racism, we're capping off a full day of exciting online programming with the world premiere of our fourth episode of Yalla Y'all: From the Frontlines of Black-Palestinian Solidarity.

We'll launch our Juneteenth events at 2:00 pm Eastern. AMP's education coordinator Tarek Khalil will host a live discussion on Facebook and YouTube entitled, "The tide is shifting: Palestine advocacy in 2021" featuring Congresswoman Marie Newman from Illinois’s 3rd congressional district, Palestinian-American political analyst Omar Baddar, and Senior Government Affairs Manager for Jewish Voice for Peace Action Beth Miller.

Following our educational session, we'll dive into our latest edition of AMP's culinary series "Turning Tables: Palestinian Cooking with a Twist" to learn how to make Rummaniya - a very hearty dish made the Liddawy way with none other than Lulu Abura, famously known for her company @lulusgourmetcrackers. Our 6th episode will be premering at 5:00 pm Eastern on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

Finally, we'll cap off with the premiere of Episode 4 of  "Yalla Y'all: From the Frontlines of Black-Palestinian Solidarity", featuring Professor Michael R. Fischbach, author of Black Power and Palestine: Transnational Countries of Color. Tune in at 7:00 pm Eastern on Facebook and YouTube.

Don't miss out and be sure to share these exciting events with your family and friends on your social media.

Sincerely,

Taher Herzallah
Director of Outreach & Grassroots Organizing
