The Republican Governors Association is targeting Michigan in the race for governor in 2022 -- and the GOP already has a long list of candidates ready to challenge the Governor.

-There’s Garrett Soldano, a notorious COVID-19 denier who gained attention online by opposing the very measures by the Governor’s administration that protected Michigan businesses and saved countless lives.
-There’s John James, two-time loser to both U.S. Senators Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters, raising healthy sums of campaign funds in both 2018 and 2020.
-There’s extreme conservative media personality Tudor Dixon who entered this race with a string of far-right credentials she’ll be touting instead of focusing on the issues that matter most to Michiganders.
-And then there’s James Craig who recently went on a media blitz in which he dodged question after question intended to establish where he stands on the most basic of issues and his loyalty to Donald Trump.

And there are more to come! We have to take every one of these potential and declared opponents seriously. If there’s one thing Donald Trump has taught us, it’s that anyone can be propelled to victory, especially when they have the backing of the former Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos money machine.
