You may know my husband Brian Mast, one of our Republican Congressmen here in Florida. Brian has been fighting to keep our communities safe and ensure the best possible future for our children.
What you might not know is that Brian was deployed to Afghanistan when our first child was just 4 months old. When Brian was blown up, I feared the worst: that our beautiful little boy was going to go through life never knowing his father.
By the grace of God, though, Brian survived. He lost two legs and a finger, learned to walk again on prosthetics and has been the most amazing father I can imagine for our (now four) little munchkins.
This Father’s Day I am hoping to surprise Brian with a Father’s Day card like no other because—in addition to being a great father for our four children—he is fighting like hell to improve the future for all of our children!
