Vaccines have been a safe and important tool for preventing life-threatening diseases for decades, from the flu to polio to the measles, and now COVID-19. The COVID-19 vaccines are safe, and they give us the chance to play our part in protecting our loved ones from a pandemic that has resulted in unprecedented loss and devastation. Health experts recommend that you get vaccinated as soon as you have the chance.
For the National Vaccine Month of Action, let's ensure as many people as possible get at least one vaccine dose by July 4th! Get vaccinated to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community.
Everyone 12 years or older is eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccines are free—regardless of health insurance or immigration status. You may also be able to access free childcare or free rides to your vaccine appointments.
For more information about the COVID-19 vaccines, check out our COVID-19 vaccine fact sheets and videos here. The fact sheets are available in English and Spanish, and are in plain language so that everyone can understand the important information we need to make good decisions about the vaccine.
If you’re not sure where or how to get vaccinated, make a vaccine gameplan! Then take a look at this appointment checklist for all the things to know before you go. Thank you for taking action to make sure you and your community are safe!
