Friend --
Five years ago from June 12th, the LGBTQ+ safe haven Pulse
Nightclub in Orlando was subjected to a horrific attack that took 49
lives and traumatized hundreds more. The people assembled at Pulse on
that devastating evening were primarily Latinx and Black folks. So
many lives were stolen and the survivors have overcome so much.
As we somberly reflect on the massacre at Pulse and express
solidarity with all affected, we want to mark the addition of an
advance screening of the documentary?Surviving Pulse -
Life after a mass shooting to the program of our
Annual National Meeting in July.??
The screening and live discussion with producer Nancy McBride and
Green Party of Florida Co-Chair Robin Harris, who is interviewed in
the film, will be available only to Annual National Meeting
registrants. It is sponsored by our National Lavender Green
Caucus.
Surviving Pulse and the conversation with Nancy and
Robin?will contribute powerfully to the mission and theme of the 2021
Annual National Meeting: "Dismantling Oppression, Building
Solidarity: A Green Party For Everyone"
Will
you join us at this historic Annual National Meeting from July 15-18,
which will be held online across the country, to tackle how we can
build a party that lives and breathes solidarity across all
communities and marginalized peoples, for the liberation of
all?
We are committing significant resources and time toward preparing
our candidates, party leaders and organizers for this next stage in
the evolution of the Green Party.?The work we put in
this summer will benefit your state and local party organizing, along
with your candidates.
This is the time to go all-in, together. We need you to make this
work, so please
register today!
In solidarity, The
Green Party of the United States
