I'm in this for the worthy fights. I'm in this for a better, more progressive future.

I'm in this fight for our community. I'm in this fight for the generations that came before me, and the generations that will come long after.

Our community has been fighting right next to me since I led a picket line as a kid, or when we organized hunger strikes for better Chicagoland schools, and today the community is with me as we fight for immigrants and working class Americans in the halls of Congress.

But these fights are never easy, and setbacks come too often and too hard. The steady tide of hatred, lies, and corruption in our country can overwhelm anyone, but they cannot defeat all of us. Together, we are stronger. Together, we can fight for a better, more progressive future, and we will win. We'll win a future where we decriminalize immigration, pass Medicare for All, return dignity, fairness, and security to workers, and leave a better planet for our children. Those fights are never easy, but they are worthy.
