Policy Spotlight is a new virtual event series from Health Affairs,
featuring in-depth conversations with influential health policy experts
in Washington, D.C., and around the country. Watch for more this summer!

**One-on-One with Micky Tripathi, National Coordinator for Health
Information Technology, US Department of Health and Human Services**

On

**Thursday, July 1, 2021**, you are invited to join

****

**Health Affairs** Editor-in-Chief

**Alan Weil** when he welcomes Micky Tripathi, the new National
Coordinator for Health Information Technology at the US Department of
Health and Human Services (HHS).  At HHS, Dr. Tripathi leads the
formulation of the federal health IT strategy and coordinates federal
health IT policies, standards, programs, and investments. After a year
when the strengths and shortcomings of health IT and interoperability
were under the microscope, his expertise and contributions to executing
the Biden health agenda could not be more important or timely.

Dr. Tripathi is a pioneer in the field of health care interoperability,
and has more than 20 years of experience across the health care
industry. As the longtime president and CEO of the Massachusetts eHealth
Collaborative (MeHC), a nonprofit health IT advisory and clinical data
analytics company, he is one of the world's foremost experts on
developing, gathering, and utilizing data to improve public health. In
addition to MeHC, he has held several senior roles in the field, across
sectors, and in March 2009 was a coauthor of two research articles in
**Health Affairs'**thematic issue on "Stimulating Health IT."

There will be an opportunity for viewers to contribute questions before
and during the event.

Date:     Thursday, July 1, 2021
Time:    1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. (EDT)
Place:    Online details will be shared with registrants 24 hours in
