Did you see Erica's message, friend? Yesterday, Michigan state Senate Republicans passed their first round of voter suppression bills.

And now, state Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey is said to be "closely watching" Arizona's election audit to see if he could get away with the same in Michigan.

We hate to break it to Shirkey, but being an errand boy for Trump isn’t a legitimate use of taxpayer money. Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson's office has already conducted 250+ audits, which all confirmed that 2020 was the most secure election in the state's history.

That won't stop Republicans from promoting Trump's Big Lie, so we have to fight back. We're so close to meeting our $10,000 rapid response goal to launch our Voter Protection Fund, and we're hoping your donation of $10 or more will put us over the top.

Michigan's Republican-controlled state Senate just passed three bills that severely restrict voting rights. Next, they'll head to the Republican majority state House.

All three institute burdensome voter ID restrictions that, among other things, makes it harder for people of color, seniors, students, and low-income individuals to vote.

It doesn’t matter who or what you vote for — access to the ballot box is critical to our democracy. These actions seek to put more power in the hands of the few while blocking the voices of folks across our state.

No matter what, I'm confident Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Attorney General Dana Nessel, and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson will defend Michiganders and their right to be heard.
