Reckless gun laws passed by Republican legislators make it far too easy to obtain deadly weapons.

One person has died, and 13 people were injured in yet another mass shooting early Saturday morning in downtown Austin.
It’s another tragedy in a long list of tragedies that have hit Texas in recent decades.
Make no mistake: This tragedy was avoidable. But it wasn't avoided because it is way too easy to obtain deadly weapons in our state.
In fact, the 87th Texas legislature voted to allow most people over age 21 to carry a handgun in public without a license. Then they passed 14 more laws designed to flood our streets, schools, and other public places with more guns.
These irresponsible laws represent a clear and present danger to the citizens of Texas. And there is blood on the hands of Republicans who passed them.
If Greg Abbott, Ken Paxton, Ted Cruz, and other right-wingers in the Texas legislature won’t protect us, then they don’t deserve to hold public office.
Let's show them the door.
