I’ll be taking the debate stage in just a few moments, but first, I wanted to reach out to thank all of you who wished me luck.

While I’m up there, you can be sure that I will be talking about the real issues in this race -- improving our public education system, repairing our roads and bridges, expanding access to healthcare and keeping our rural hospitals open, and making our state government more transparent.

This race isn’t about political party or partisanship (despite how hard my opponent will try to convince you). This isn’t a Democratic or Republican agenda, nor is it a rural or urban agenda -- it’s a working people’s agenda.

Thank you all for your support. Together, we can move Mississippi forward.
