Republican Attorneys General are trying to shut down youth activists.
Friend, do you think we have a constitutional right to live in a habitable climate, without irreparable damage from the fossil fuel industry? Climate activists argued to the courts that we do – but 17 Republican Attorneys General are trying to shut them down.
While people across our country cry out for a reduction of carbon emissions, Republican AGs are banding together to protect the profits of gas and oil companies. Friend, the health and safety of our communities is on the line, and we need to take action against the Republican AGs who refuse to lead in our best interest.
This isn’t the first time Republican AGs have rallied to block urgent climate reforms. They’re also fighting President Biden’s executive orders aimed at protecting our planet – misusing their office to deny constituents the cleaner, safer future they deserve.
Meanwhile, Dem AGs took nearly 500 actions to combat the environmental destruction of the Trump administration – including the preservation of the Clean Water Rule and Clean Power Plan.
Dem AGs are fiercely committed to protecting marginalized communities and future generations from the harms of the climate crisis. But they can’t do this alone, friend – we need to build a thriving coalition of advocates to make a serious impact. Join this movement by adding your name now!
Thanks,
Brandon
