John:
🌈 Happy Pride Month!
As we celebrate Pride Month this June, it’s important to remember all of the brave activists who paved the way for this movement. While there is much to celebrate, we still have a long road ahead of us to ensure equal rights for all of our LGBTQ+ peers.
That’s why my House colleagues and I passed the Equality Act this past February. Now, I’m fighting for the Senate to pass this meaningful piece of legislation as well.
No one should have their basic human rights threatened because of how they identify or who they love. Can you add your name to this petition if you agree? [[link removed]]

We’ve made great progress on behalf of LGBTQ+ Americans over the last decade, but to ensure the safety of and equal opportunity for every LGBTQ+ American, we need the Senate to pass the Equality Act now. If passed, this legislation would amend the Civil Rights Act to ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.
John, that means it would be illegal to discriminate against LGBTQ+ Americans when it comes to their employment, housing, and so much more. But this will only be possible if the Senate joins the House in passing this historic legislation. Will you join me in urging the Senate to pass the Equality Act now? [[link removed]]

Thanks for your help, and happy Pride!
