House Republicans just introduced a resolution to censure Ayanna and the other members of the Squad. Why? Because Republicans get mad when Ayanna and her sisters-in-service speak out about injustice.
This is just the latest in a series of recent attacks from the far-right. Last week, a super PAC spent tens of thousands of dollars on a deceitful text messaging campaign targeting Ayanna for her work to transform our criminal injustice system.
Clearly, Republicans and their allies don’t like people who speak truth to power and won’t be intimidated.
Ayanna will never stop fighting for a better future for all people, both here and abroad. But Republicans are going to do everything in their power to discredit her and stop our movement for progress. So we need to ensure we have the resources to counter these attacks, strengthen our movement, and keep Ayanna in Congress fighting for us all.
