Congress needs a new and fresh voice. We are all frustrated with the continued fall out of the pandemic, the struggle in the fight for equity, the concerning rise in hate crimes, and the continued attacks against minority communities. There is so much we are up against, but no one said that fighting for justice, equality, and human rights would be easy. 

 

But today, we can make it easier for you to do your part. 

 

Emgage PAC supports candidates from across the country and we are proud that we have a community of supporters like you that help those candidates win. Their victory is possible because of your votes, your volunteer work, and your contributions. That is why we are incredibly excited to announce our support for Pennsylvania State Senator Sharif Street, a Muslim African-American lawmaker running for U.S. Senate. 

 

State Senator Street has a lifetime of public service and a history of achievement that have prepared him for the task at hand. African American Muslims across the country have been practicing Islam long before the United States declared independence. It is only right that hundreds of years later, an African American brother is standing up to make history: if elected, State Senator Street would be the first Muslim American Senator in United States History.
