Brian Kemp used his dirty tricks to keep Stacey Abrams out of the Georgia Governor's Mansion in 2018. In 2022, he's trying to do it again -- and in the process, he'll ensure unrestricted Republican power in a crucial swing state.
Despite the outrageous results in 2018, Stacey Abrams got back to work and accomplished what many said was impossible. Her efforts in fighting voter suppression and rallying Democratic voters gave us the biggest upsets of the 2020 elections -- Democrats won the presidential contest and both Senate seats in Georgia.
President Biden would be completely gridlocked if it weren't for Stacey Abrams.
But now, Gov. Kemp is at his suppression efforts again. He spearheaded the charge to enact some of the strictest voting laws in the country. One of his biggest motivations is that he is SCARED of Stacey Abrams taking his place as Governor. Kemp knows he can only win if he rigs the game in his favor.
But it's time we take a page out of Stacey Abrams' book -- it's time to roll up our sleeves and get to work.
Georgians deserve a champion for expanded voting rights who understands what it means to be disenfranchised. It's time to let Georgia become the blue state that its voters demand. And when we achieve that, we'll change not just Georgia but the whole country.
Abrams was a deciding force in the 2020 elections. Now Democrats need to come together to support her run.
