We are lifting up JOY as we round out our 2020-2021 fiscal year. For the last twelve months, the Ms. Foundation’s grantee partners have demonstrated repeatedly that, however dark the moment, joy affirms our humanity, powers our resistance, and amplifies our unity. With joy, the work is lighter and more fulfilling.

Why not do that right now by supporting women from New Orleans to Louisville and San Juan to Los Angeles who are strengthening the movements that got this country through a year of the COVID-19 pandemic and fighting the violence of systemic racism? The Ms. Foundation supports feminist leaders from coast to coast and focuses on issues impacting the lives of women and girls of color.
From now until midnight on Wednesday, June 30th we are wrapping up our Joyful Resistance Matching Gift Campaign. Your gift will go twice as far because of the generosity of our longtime friend and donor, Nancy Nordhoff. Nancy is matching all new and increased gifts to the Ms. Foundation up to $50,000.
This past year, our grantee partners have stretched beyond what even they imagined possible to do extraordinary work that has saved lives and refocused our democracy. They have educated policy-makers, passed legislation, fed families, fought for pandemic-safe housing for seniors and other vulnerable people, trained and organized youth and workers, and raised the visibility of violence against Black, Asian, transgender and other targeted groups of people.
Your gift -- doubled through the Joyful Resistance Matching Gift Campaign -- will help the Ms. Foundation for Women move critical resources to more than 100 women of color leaders and women-led organizations in the coming year. With your help, our grantmaking and advocacy will fuel work on issues such as reproductive justice, girls’ leadership, ending state-sanctioned violence, building political power for immigrant women, organizing childcare workers, increasing visibility for transgender women and much more.
