Leighton Johnson and Rahisha Bivens, both from the Stop Solitary CT campaign, will discuss the Connecticut legislature’s recent passage of the PROTECT Act. The bill severely limits the use of solitary confinement in Connecticut prisons and jails. They’ll also discuss the challenges and lessons learned during the campaign, and what movement leaders can take away from their experience to increase their effectiveness on the ground.
