We are happy to announce that Farm Aid 2021 will be an in-person festival on September 25th. So mark your calendars, and stay tuned to this newsletter and our social media pages for more details mid-July. We can't wait to see you!

Ira Wallace is a founding member of Acorn Community Farm, a cooperatively-run farm in central Virginia. The farm’s members follow the advice of Dr. Booker T. Whatley, a sustainable agriculture pioneer, to diversify their business model with value-added products. They do so by operating Southern Exposure Seed Exchange, which markets organic and heirloom seeds.

Ira has invested her life in building community networks to make farming work, which sometimes isn't easy: [[link removed]] “We, in the U.S. culture haven’t always learned how to cooperate, so sometimes you have to learn to cooperate with another group of people.” Acorn Community Farm continues to rise to the challenge, by reinvesting in the farm while helping other farmers when they need support.
