White House Director of Private Sector Engagement Zach Butterworth is helping kick off this week’s virtual lobby days led by the American Sustainable Business Council.

Today, Butterworth will discuss President Biden’s sweeping American Jobs Plan and American Families Plan, support for which will be the focus of one group meeting with several Congressional offices. Other groups will focus on race, equity and democracy; circular economy and infrastructure; climate and energy; and regenerative agriculture.

Zach Butterworth serves as Director of Private Sector Engagement in the Biden-Harris Administration. Zach is an attorney with a decade of experience in public policy and intergovernmental relations. 

Butterworth served as Executive Counsel to Mayor Mitch Landrieu and Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the City of New Orleans, overseeing all legislative negotiations. Prior to his tenure in local government, Butterworth served as a senior staff member in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Zach was Legislative Director and Counsel to Senator Mary Landrieu and before that, was Senior Counsel to Congressman Cedric Richmond. Zach received his Bachelors of Arts at Louisiana State University and Law Degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.
