What we're doing to help, and how the Democrats are standing in the way
When an illegal drug like fentanyl crosses our border, it's for sale in our communities later that week.
And death, devastation, overdoses, gang violence and fear are never far behind.
Congressman Fitzgerald is FIGHTING the scourge of drug smuggling, human trafficking, and worse on our border – even as the Democrats turn a blind eye!
It's bad. And it's getting WORSE.
- More fentanyl has been seized at the border so far this year than all of 2020.
- Border crossing enforcement is up 600% compared to the same time last year.
- Border crossings last month marked a 20-year high.
Congressman Fitzgerald is pushing in Congress to FIX the problem, not ignore it. That's why he introduced the SOFA Act, to PERMANENTLY designate fentanyl as a Schedule I drug and stop the cartels from flooding the drug markets with it.
That's why he also supported the See the Crisis Act, which would cancel all international trips by Kamala Harris until she goes to the border and speaks with Border Patrol officers on the ground. Of course, the Democrats blocked our bill.
Today, we need to help our COMMUNITIES, not the cartels.
